  • Proton Pump Inhibitor - paeds_v2 information leaflet.pdf [pdf / 139KB] The paediatric consultants have agreed the use of lansoprazole as first line proton pump inhibitor in children 1 month – 17 years weighing 2.5kg and above. Neonates and children who weigh less than 2.5kg should be prescribed omeprazole. Children prescribed omeprazole who weigh 2.5kg or above should be reviewed and switched to lansoprazole if treatment is still needed.
